Encore...The Concert Band plays an eclectic mix of traditional concert band compositions, music from Broadway and the movies, popular standards and jazz. Conducted by Gwyn Beynon, the 65 musicians in Encore are all volunteers — drawn from the community at large as well as from high-school music programs. The students get to play at a higher performance level than in their schools, which increases their confidence level in all phases of their music education. |
